Update on injured Burton Players

Cody Collier will be out for the year. Info received yesterday from one of the coaches is that he tore is ACL & MCL and will have surgery. Please help pray for his recovery. Courtland Gales and Russell Rice both practiced this week but Jimbo is still debating on how much if any playing time they will receive this week. Coty Brummitte is listed in the starting line up for tonight's game but last I heard doctor's were still telling him it would be the Kelly game before they would let him play. This is the last I heard, if anyone has anything different please keep us updated.

Not giving away any secrets, everyone knows those are the 4 that were injured and most people know exactly what happened to them (it was all in the paper yesterday). Main objective is to remind people that these are young kids who are putting their safety on the line for something they love. All for the joy of playing football. Just wanted to answer some of the questions I've seen floating around on the board on how the kids were doing.

Injurys are a part of the game and it does make a HUGE differance at small schools.

I hate to see kids get hurt and miss a whole year but what can you do?

Coty Brummette will not be starting against Appy. He has to go to the doctor next week and should be ready by the Wise game. The Docs just want to be precautionary. Hes ready though!
